A set of masks for painting the road wheels of the Soviet T-34 medium tank in 1:35 scale, cut for kits from Italeri. Masks are designed for one specific wheel, which is why similar sets for models from Dragon and from Tamiya are available as well. Pick the one that matches your kit, otherwise the wheel will not drop into the cutout.
The T-34 is among the most influential tanks in history. It combined sloped armor, wide tracks with low ground pressure and a powerful gun in a machine that could be built in enormous numbers even under the conditions of an evacuated industry. Its large road wheels with a rubber tire band are one of its identifying features; during the shortage of raw materials all-steel wheels without a tire band were built as well.
The wheel is placed in the cutout in the flexible mask, which covers the rubber tire band and exposes the disc. Paint the tire band first, then fit the mask and spray over the disc. Do not stretch the mask, press it down with a pointed wooden stick once it is seated and spray perpendicular to the surface in thin coats. According to the manufacturer the masks can be used again after cleaning.
