Responsibility details are not available.
The quarter-ton utility vehicle of the US Army is among the best known vehicles of its day. It is a small open car with all-wheel drive, a short wheelbase and a simple body with no superfluous shapes: straight fenders, a folding windshield, a jerrycan and a spare wheel at the rear. The vehicle was used for liaison, for reconnaissance and for towing light trailers, and it suits most scenes with American equipment. The version with a canvas top adds a folding roof stretched over a tubular frame, which changes the silhouette of the vehicle.
1:35 is the commonest scale for vehicles, so you can complete the model without difficulty with figures, accessories and a base in the same scale. A small vehicle is rewarding both to build and to place in a scene, because it fits almost anywhere and works as a yardstick of size next to larger equipment. The exact number of parts, the extent of the equipment and the marking options offered are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the axles before the body covers them. Separate the parts with cutters a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Paint the canvas top in a different tone from the body, or it will merge with it and the impression of fabric will be lost; lightening the stretched surfaces slightly and a darker tone in the folds will help. Any flattening of a tire, if the model offers it, has to point toward the ground. Fit the wheels only once the chassis is painted.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and filler are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
