Responsibility details are not available.
Replacement parts for building the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-11 in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the exhausts of the inverted V12 engine, which are clearly visible along the long nose and come out solid in plastic. The box gives the Fw 190 D-11 from MiniArt as the target kit. The QuickBoost brand belongs to the Czech maker Aires Hobby Models and specializes in simple replacement parts.
The Fw 190 of the D series, nicknamed the Dora, came about when an inverted V12 Junkers Jumo engine was installed in the airframe of a fighter originally built around a radial. The nose was lengthened as a result and, for balance, the rear fuselage was lengthened too, so the Dora has the most distinctive silhouette among the Fw 190s. The D-11 version was one of the late machines: it lost the machine guns above the engine and carried heavier cannon armament in the wing. Only a few were built.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water before gluing so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface, as otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut off the casting block with a saw or a cutting disc, never with nippers, which will break the resin. Sand the mating surface flat and glue the part with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy, because cement for plastic will not hold here. When sanding resin use a respirator or sand wet; the dust is not good to breathe.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
