An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian fighter Macchi MC.202 Folgore in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The Aces edition focuses on the markings of Italian fighter aces of the Second World War years. Modeling cement for plastic and paints are needed for the build and are not included in the package.
The Macchi MC.202 Folgore was one of the best-performing Italian fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a license-built inverted V12 derived from the German Daimler-Benz DB 601, which made it fast, aerodynamically clean and agile. Compared with the older Italian fighters it was a marked step forward and it could hold its own against Allied aircraft over the Mediterranean and North Africa.
We recommend gluing with liquid modeling cement for plastic and sanding the joints back. Apply a primer before spraying and lay the paints on with an airbrush in thin coats. Italian aircraft typically wore mottled camouflage, which comes out well with patient masking; apply the aces' decals over a gloss clear coat and seal the work with a matte clear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
