An injection-molded plastic kit of the German half-track armored personnel carrier in the version with rocket frames along the sides of the hull. The 1:72 scale means a smaller model, but also a quicker build and less room taken up in the display case. The number of parts and the number of marking schemes are not stated by the manufacturer.
The Sd.Kfz. 251 was the basic German half-track carrier, which carried infantry and served in dozens of conversions. The form with Wurfrahmen frames carried racks of large-caliber rockets on both sides of the hull; with them the vehicle aimed with its whole body, because the frames could not be traversed. German units gave it a nickname that can be translated as dive bomber or infantry Stuka, after the sound and the effect of a salvo. The weapon was used for area fire, not for hitting an individual target precisely.
Finish the running gear and the interior of the hull before you close it up, because a half-track vehicle has an open hull and you can see inside. Glue the frames with the rockets on only after the vehicle has been finished, so that they can be painted separately. The rockets come out well if you give them a different shade and only suggest the lettering; at this scale the writing is not read. After the base shade give the vehicle a wash into the recesses, chipping on the edges and dust pigments on the underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
