Replacement mixing paper for the wet palette, from DSPIAE. A consumable for keeping water-thinnable paints workable.
Responsibility details are not available.
A wet palette keeps water-thinnable paint workable for several hours: the absorbent layer underneath holds water, the paper on top lets it through only slowly and the paint on it therefore does not dry out. This product is the upper mixing paper, that is the consumable that gets changed in the palette. It is intended for the basic version of the wet palette.
The mixing paper is the upper layer of a wet palette, that is the surface on which the paint is actually mixed and picked up. It lets moisture through from below only slowly, so the paint neither thins down nor dries out.
Put the paper into the palette according to its layout and let it soak up clean water; it should soak evenly, not sit in a puddle. When the work is over, take the paper out and let it dry separately, or throw it away if it is saturated with paint. Rinse the palette itself out and leave it open, otherwise damp stays inside and it starts to grow mold.
A wet palette is intended for water-thinnable paints. Solvent-based enamels and lacquers do not work on it, because they do not get on with water and will ruin the absorbent paper. Store the papers dry; a damp package sticks together.
The palette itself and paints are not included in the package.
