A decal sheet with technical stencils and warning markings for a model of the MiG-23 aircraft in 1:72.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-23 is a Soviet fighter with a variable-geometry wing, which became one of the most widespread types of its time and served not only in the Soviet Air Force but in a great many other countries. Real machines were densely covered with small technical stencils: instructions for refueling, warnings at the engine intakes, markings for service panels and labels for rescue equipment. It is exactly these details that give a finished model its credibility, because the eye reads them as proof that somebody serviced the machine.
It is a separate sheet of technical markings in 1:72 for the MiG-23. The exact breakdown of the stencils, their number and which versions of the aircraft and which kits the sheet fits are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed.
The decals are applied by the usual wet method, but the exact instructions are in the manual. The base has to be smooth and glossy, because on a matte or rough coat a white veil forms under a decal. Trim the element as close as possible, wet it and move it into place, blot the excess water away and let it dry. With small stencils a decal softener helps the film pull down onto the rivets and the panel lines. Finally seal everything with a matte or satin varnish.
It will be appreciated by a modeler whose base kit lacks technical markings or who wants to replace decals of an advanced age with a new print.
The package contains only the decal sheet. The model, paints, varnish and decal softener are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
