A resin (3D-printed) set of two figures from the South Korean maker Tori Factory in 1:72 scale. It represents US Air Force pilots for the high-altitude SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft. The characters are depicted in the characteristic high-altitude pressure suits. The set is for experienced modelers and is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit.
The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird was an American strategic reconnaissance aircraft capable of flying well beyond the speed of sound at great altitudes. Its crew had to wear full-body pressure suits similar to space suits, with a closed helmet. It is exactly this unmistakable dress that makes the figures a striking pair which sets a model of the aircraft into context.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut away the print supports and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The light suits come out with fine shading of the folds and a cleanly painted helmet visor; an airbrush and a brush are both suitable.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
