This is not a model in its own right but a conversion and accessory set in resin in 1:35 scale. The set adds civilian features to the model of the military M1008 pickup and turns it into a private, modified vehicle. The parts extend the build with accessories that give the vehicle a civilian, even idiosyncratic character.
The M1008 is the pickup version of the American CUCV (Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicle) family of military vehicles, based on a civilian Chevrolet platform. The army deployed it as an all-purpose cargo and utility vehicle. Many of these vehicles passed into civilian hands after being withdrawn, where their owners modified them in various ways, and that is exactly the subject of this set.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and sand them. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The set calls for the usual experience with resin and with fitting parts to a basic model. Paint with acrylics; washes and pigments will give it patina and a used look, and a civilian vehicle can take a bold color scheme as well.
It is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Paints, glue and the basic vehicle model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
