Ar 196 V-4, Conversion Parts 1:72 is an AML resin conversion set for rendering the V-4 prototype version of the Arado shipboard floatplane. An accessory to a plastic kit, not a model. The conversion is prepared for the Heller and Sword kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin conversion set from the maker AML in 1:72 scale for the Arado Ar 196 shipboard floatplane in its V-4 prototype version. It contains the parts that set this version apart from the production machines, usually together with decals. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory to a plastic model of the matching scale, which is not in the package. The new parts fit the fuselage and floats of the Heller and Sword kits.
The Arado Ar 196 was the standard shipboard reconnaissance floatplane of the Kriegsmarine, launched by catapult from surface ships. It served for reconnaissance, patrol and light combat duties. The prototypes, carried on twin floats and in a single-float layout, helped refine the final shape of the production version.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, separate the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The conversion calls for measuring out and cleaning up the places where the new parts are to be seated, and possibly small modifications of the plastic model. Sand the resin with your airways protected. Apply the decals over a gloss base.
This is an accessory to a model; the aircraft kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
