Mi-8MT / Mi-17 - open service/emergency hatch 1:72 (Quickboost) is a resin replacement part for the Hobby Boss plastic kit. It replaces the hatch molded flat into the fuselage with a version that can be built open. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model you have already bought.

A resin replacement part of the Quickboost brand, which is made by the Czech studio Aires. This is not a kit - you will not build a helicopter out of it. It is a detail accessory intended for the plastic Mi-8MT / Mi-17 kit from Hobby Boss in 1:72 scale.
The plastic kit has the service and emergency hatch molded flat as part of the fuselage, that is permanently closed. This set replaces it with a part that can be built open. The model gains three things at once: the inside is revealed (equipment, wiring, a tank) and the machine suddenly looks alive, as though work were going on around it; a natural subject arises for a diorama with a ground crew - a mechanic, tools, steps, an open machine; and the open panel breaks up the smooth surface of the fuselage, which gives the model depth and shadow where there used to be nothing but flat plastic.
Note, important before you buy: the exact contents of the package are not stated here. The set is conceived as a replacement for the hatch itself, so do not automatically assume that it also contains the interior behind it. If neither the kit nor this set supplies the inner space, reckon on finishing the space behind the open hatch yourself (your own details, wires, sheet), because otherwise emptiness would gape behind the open panel. Please check the contents on the package itself.
The Mil Mi-8 and its modernized successor the Mi-17 are transport helicopters of Soviet, or rather Russian origin and are among the most widespread helicopters in the world. They have flown and still fly on practically every continent, in military and civil roles alike: carrying troops and materiel, evacuating the wounded, firefighting, rescue work. The Czech connection is a strong one too, because Czechoslovakia operated machines of this family and the Czech army uses them to this day, including on missions abroad.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
