Exhausts and their guards for the Tiger II and the Jagdtiger in 1:35 scale from BSK Model. A 3D-printed add-on set, not a vehicle model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on set, not a vehicle model. It contains the exhaust pipes and their sheet metal guards, that is the pair of cylinders with their casing that is the most conspicuous feature at the rear of both machines. A plastic kit deals with them by compromise: the mouth of the exhaust tends to be blind or merely suggested, and the guard has a wall as thick as the mold demands. 3D printing makes it possible to do both properly, with a hollowed mouth and a thin-walled guard with openings. The rear is the place everyone looks at, because that is where most of the weathering gathers as well.
The Tiger II and the Jagdtiger tank destroyer derived from it were among the heaviest German vehicles put into series service in the Second World War. The rear-mounted engine took the exhaust gases away through a pair of vertical pipes at the rear, around which sheet metal guards protected the crew and the pipework itself.
The set is for modelers of heavy German equipment who are finishing off the rear of the vehicle. Working with printed parts is straightforward; it only calls for patience when removing the supports.
It is not a vehicle model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
