It is not an injection-molded plastic model but a demanding resin kit completed by metal parts, photo-etched parts and decals. Sets of this kind are intended for experienced modelers and collectors who want to build a detailed replica of a particular racing car.
The Corvette C6R was the successful racing version derived from the Chevrolet Corvette C6, campaigned in GT championships and in endurance races including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With its front-mounted V8 the car was among the leading machines in its class in the second half of the 2000s.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. It is best to spray the body with an airbrush, seal it with gloss clear coat after the decals and then tune the patina. The photo-etched and metal parts raise the fidelity of the detail but call for careful preparation.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a multimedia resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
