The Lancia Stratos is a wedge-shaped competition special with a short wheelbase and the engine mounted behind the crew. It was built directly for competition, not derived from a production car, and that shows on it: nervous behavior in corners and an unmistakable shape made it one of the most popular subjects among modelers of competition cars.
Decals for one particular form, that is the car with race number 2 from the RAC Rally of 1979. The sheets are in 1:24 scale. A particular kit is not stated in the name, so lay the items against the parts of your model before applying them and compare the size. It is worth doing above all with the long lettering on the sides, which has to follow on from the edge of the door and onto the fender.
Spray the body and coat it to a gloss, otherwise air is held under the decal and the edges turn white. Cut the item out close to the artwork, soak it and let it rest until it starts to slide over the paper. Settle it together with the water underneath, line it up with the edges of the body and draw the water off with a soft cloth from the center outward. On curved areas and recesses use softener and then do not touch the item until it has dried. Spray the model with a final coat at the end.
