A set of meshes for a model of the Porsche 962C in 1:24 scale. It is designated for Hasegawa kits and replaces the grilles of the intakes and the cooling openings with a fine mesh.
Responsibility details are not available.
An additional set for a model of the endurance prototype Porsche 962C. The contents are mesh parts that on a model replace the places covered by a grille, that is the intake openings, the outlets and the cooling vents. The set is designated for Hasegawa kits in 1:24 scale.
The Porsche 962C is a closed racing prototype of the 1980s, built for endurance racing. The cars of the 962 range were among the most successful machines in long-distance racing in their day and raced in the colors of a great many different teams, so a model of one goes well with decal sets for the individual crews. Characteristic of it are the large cooling openings along the sides of the body, and those are precisely what is best seen from a distance.
Injection-molded plastic can only suggest a grille; a mesh has real openings, so an opening comes across as an opening and not as a blind surface. The difference is most apparent on the large intake areas, where the shadow of the interior can even be suggested under the mesh.
The set is an addition, not a kit. The model, the paints, the glue and the tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
