This is a set of miniature injection-molded models of the EA-18G Growler carrier-based aircraft in the small 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. The package holds several examples of the aircraft, intended above all as deck equipment for models of American aircraft carriers. The parts are injection-molded in plastic and assembly is simple, as befits the small scale.
The EA-18G Growler is a two-seat carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft derived from the F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter-bomber. It suppresses and jams hostile air defenses, flies electronic reconnaissance and escorts strike packages. It is operated by the US Navy from carrier decks as well as from shore bases.
In this scale it pays to work with liquid cement for plastic and a fine brush. We recommend a primer coat, the main color sprayed with an airbrush in naval gray shades, and light panel emphasis. The small models can be placed straight onto the deck of a ship model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
