XAC02 Steel Haze Dark Brown

Gunze XAC02 Steel Haze Dark Brown, Mr.Color lacquer, 18 ml

XAC02 is a paint from the Japanese maker Gunze (Mr.Hobby) in the Mr.Color line. It is a lacquer with a base of organic solvents, not a water-thinnable acrylic, even though shades from this line are often filed among the acrylics. The bottle holds 18 ml. The shade comes from the licensed Armored Core Color line and is meant for the lower part of the mecha SCHNEIDER NACHTREIHER/40E Steel Haze, that is above all for the legs and the running parts. An admixture of fine metallic particles gives the dark brown depth and a metallic cast.

Use

• It is thinned with Mr.Color lacquer thinner, or with Leveling Thinner, never with water.
• With an airbrush and with a brush alike; thin coats dry quickly and hold well on plastic.
• The metallic pigment settles at the bottom, so stir the paint before work and during it.
• A dark brown takes a subsequent patina and dust effects well, and the running parts come out with them.
• Do not apply a lacquer paint over enamel, as the solvent would damage the layer underneath.
