A 3D-printed ACES II ejection seat for the early version of the F-16 – with seat belts in 1:48 scale from Art Scale for the Kinetic kit. A detail accessory for the cockpit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds one 3D-printed ACES II ejection seat for the early version of the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter from the Kinetic kit in 1:48 scale, in the variant with the seat belts modeled directly in the print. It is not a kit but a detail accessory for the cockpit that replaces the simplified plastic seat with a faithful part. It is made by Art Scale. A variant without belts is also made, for modelers who want to use fabric or photo-etched belts of their own.
The ACES II (Advanced Concept Ejection Seat II) is the standard ejection seat of a range of American combat aircraft, among them the light F-16 fighter. The form for the early versions matches the earlier cockpit layout; the seat is clearly visible under the glazed canopy and belongs among its prominent features.
Separate the seat carefully from the print supports and clean it up; bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Pick the shell, the padding and the belts out in different colors after period references.
This is an add-on detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
