Ten finished model bushes from the German maker HEKI, three centimeters tall. A low bush is inconspicuous on a layout, yet it is exactly what decides the look: the foot of a wall, the corner of a yard, the edge of a ditch and the ground by a post all look empty without growth, and a single bush is enough to settle the scene. Ten pieces in the box is therefore a quantity that gets used up faster than one would expect.
The bushes are pushed into a prepared hole or glued with a drop of PVA glue. With low pieces it helps to work with tweezers, as fingers usually will not reach into the corner between a wall and the ground. Arrange them irregularly and in clumps. Add a tuft of grass or leaf granulate around the foot and the transition from the ground will not look abrupt, so the bush appears to have grown there by itself.
