HEKI Olive Tree 8 to 10 cm, 5 pcs

Five finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, eight to ten centimeters tall. While a pair of larger olives suits a garden as an accompaniment, five smaller pieces make it possible to build a whole grove. That matters with this species, because an olive almost never occurs on its own in the landscape; it grows in regular groves on terraced slopes.

How to work with the trees

The trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. In a grove plant them in rows at regular spacing, ideally on a slope divided by low stone terraces. Keep the heights uneven, as even cultivated trees grow at different rates. Do not put saturated green grass under the trees; use dry growth, stones and dust, because it is the color of the ground that makes a southern scene southern.

Who the set is for

For builders of Mediterranean scenes and southern dioramas and for modelers who need several trees of one species for a continuous grove. The five trees can also be split and some used elsewhere in the scene, because an olive holds up as a single tree by a building too. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
