Two grass mats from the German maker HEKI, each measuring forty by twenty-four centimeters. Together that is almost two thousand square centimeters of grassy area, a quantity with which the whole landscape of a smaller layout can be laid out. Meadow green is the basic summer shade and therefore suits the largest areas of a scene, where grass is to form the base for everything else.
Apply spray adhesive to a new base and press the mat down. On an area that is already grassed you do not need glue. With large formats it goes double that the mat should not be laid as one piece: tear it into sections and assemble them with irregular edges and varying density. Add tufts, bushes or bare soil into the gaps so that the area does not look like a carpet rolled out.
For layout and diorama builders laying out larger grassy areas, and for modelers who want a reserve of basic material. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
