A finished Heki chestnut model 30 cm tall, one piece in the package. A specimen tree with a broad crown for a diorama and a layout.
Responsibility details are not available.
One finished chestnut model from Heki, height 30 cm. The tree is finished; nothing on it is built or painted. The chestnut is a classic tree of the inhabited landscape, not of the forest: it stands on a village green, by an inn, in a farmyard, by a wayside chapel and in avenues along roads. On a model too its broad crown has a different role from the slender vertical of a poplar; it roofs over a piece of the scene rather than pulling it upwards.
In 1:87 scale a height of 30 cm corresponds to roughly 26 meters, in 1:72 scale to about 21.6 meters and in 1:35 scale to approximately 10.5 meters. In every case this is a mature tree which will not disappear on a scene. It is therefore worth laying the scene out around it and only then adding buildings and small details.
For builders of dioramas and layouts who can use a finished dominant feature without assembling an armature and foliage. The shade of the crown can be matched to the scene with a fine pigment applied from a distance. Remove dust with a soft brush or with compressed air, not with a cloth. The base, the glue and scenic scatter are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
