Seven larches in autumn coloring seven to eleven centimeters tall. Finished model trees of German manufacture for a layout or a diorama, supplied already foliated.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of seven model larches in a golden autumn coloring. The small trees are finished, that is, already covered with fine foliage, and all you need do is seat them in the terrain. A height of seven to eleven centimeters casts them as trees of the second plane, which create depth behind a nearer group of mature trunks.
The larch is the exception among conifers: in autumn it turns yellow and sheds its needles. On a layout or in a diorama it can therefore establish the season in a single stroke. In a spruce wood it reads as a bright patch, while in mountain country it becomes a landmark, because it grows at higher altitudes than broadleaf trees. That is exactly why autumn larches tend to be bought by the handful rather than one at a time.
The set suits model railroad builders in the smaller gauges as well as modelers building military or civilian dioramas who need growth with a strong color in the background. The small trees are made by a German company that finishes their shaping and foliating by hand, so they differ slightly from piece to piece. The trunks can be shortened as needed and the crown adjusted, and the resulting group then does not look like production goods.
