A bulk box with a hundred small conifers that the manufacturer lists as firs. The small trees are finished and foliated, so you only need to seat them in the terrain. The narrow range of heights, five to seven centimeters, matches an even-aged stand, that is, a planted crop or a young forest.
Greenery on a layout is material consumed by the hundred. Small sets run out quickly and the next delivery may have a slightly different shade, which shows in a continuous area. A large box therefore covers a whole slope or a belt behind the railroad at one go and holds together in color. Any pieces left over can be used as undergrowth among taller trees.
The box is aimed at layout builders with a large area of greenery as well as at modelers building more extensive scenes. The core of each small tree is an injection-molded plastic armature with hand-bent branches; production takes place in Germany. Even in a bulk set the pieces therefore differ slightly and the stand does not look like a field of copies. There is a practical reason for buying a box of this size all at once: the shades of individual deliveries can differ slightly and in a continuous area the transition would show.
