A box with twenty-four finished small trees in a range of five to eleven centimeters. These are ordinary conifers without decorations, so they serve equally well in a forest and in a winter scene where a tree is to stand by a house or on a village green. They are supplied foliated and ready to be seated.
The same species manages two things on a model. In a stand it is part of the mass of the forest and nobody notices it in particular. Set on its own by a building or on a square, though, it becomes the carrier of the action, especially once snow and light in the windows are added. The range of heights in the box suits both roles, because you can pick a lower or a more mature piece.
It suits layout builders and diorama modelers who need medium-sized small trees for general use. The core of each small tree is an injection-molded plastic armature with hand-bent branches and production takes place in Germany, so the pieces differ slightly in shape. Decorations and lighting are not included in the package; the small trees are supplied in their green form. Anyone who wants a real Christmas tree in a scene can decorate one piece themselves: small beads for ornaments and a thin wire for the top are enough, and the result is more convincing than a factory decoration.
