A set of twenty finished small trees in a range of five to eleven centimeters. The small trees are foliated, without decorations and without lighting, so they can be used anywhere on a layout or in a diorama. A smaller number of pieces suits places where finished growth is being filled out or only a few trees are being set by a building.
Not every job calls for a hundred small trees. Filling out a thin patch in a finished forest, foresting a slope above a tunnel portal or building a grove by an isolated homestead are all work for a smaller box. Another advantage is that the small trees can be picked over: among twenty pieces it is easier to find the one with the best outline, which deserves to stand at the front.
The box is aimed at modelers who need a smaller quantity of medium-sized small trees, and at layout builders finishing off details. The core of each small tree is an injection-molded plastic armature whose branches are bent and foliated by hand; production takes place in Germany. The trunks can be shortened and the heights within a group graded further, so that the growth does not look like a row of identical pieces. Before seating a small tree, look at it from all sides and turn the side with the best outline toward the viewer; with smaller sets that moment of work makes the most difference.
