The largest single tree in the line of specimen trees. Thirty-eight centimeters of height and a crown about fifteen centimeters across make it a piece that will ask for plenty of room in a scene. The structure is sturdy, so the tree stands on its own and needs no support.
In the large layout gauges, where a fourteen-centimeter small tree would be no more than a bush, and in large dioramas, where a tree is to carry the whole composition. It also suits places where the edge of a scene or the transition to the backdrop needs to be hidden visually: a tall crown divides the picture and the eye stops looking for where the landscape ends.
It is aimed at modelers of large dioramas and at layout builders in the large gauges, including garden railroads. The maker is a German company whose small trees are built from an injection-molded plastic armature with hand-bent branches, so no two pieces are identical. Bear in mind that a tree like this is bulky even in its shipping box and deserves careful handling. Crushed branches can be partly straightened by careful bending, because the core of the tree is plastic and holds its shape, but the foliage where it was gripped will stay thin.
