Grass Mat Dark Green (100 x 200 cm)

HEKI grass mat, dark green, 100 x 200 cm

This is not a model or a kit but a finished grass surface. Upright fibers stand on a firm special paper and form a dense growth. The rich dark green matches tall grass, shaded slopes and the ground under trees, where light green looks washed out. The 100 x 200 cm format gives 2 m² according to the manufacturer, so it covers most of a smaller layout or several dioramas. The mat is not tied to a single scale; the manufacturer lists it for the H0, TT, N and Z sizes.

Use

• tall meadows, pastures, shaded slopes and strips between forest and field
• a base layer under bushes, tufts and trees, where the green is to show through only here and there
• on a flat board it is cut and then glued like wallpaper with wallpaper, spray or general-purpose adhesive
• slopes come about by reshaping it over crumpled paper balls or over a framework of strips and cardboard
• cut a road, a stream or a track bed by damping the surface, scraping the fibers off with a spatula and repainting with acrylic

Who it is for

For modelers for whom the smallest sheet is not enough and the largest would be left over. Dark green sits well with further layers of vegetation, because the difference between the mat and the added tufts stays visible. The same mat also exists in the 75 x 100 cm and 100 x 300 cm formats with the identical coloring, so the area can be extended with no difference.

Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
