HEKI stone ballast, red-brown, medium grain 0.5 - 1.0 mm (200 g) is natural crushed aggregate in a warm rusty tone for layouts and dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A scatter material of crushed natural stone in a red-brown shade from the German maker HEKI. The 0.5 to 1.0 mm grade is among the medium ones, and the pack holds 200 g. The warm rusty tone suits everywhere the subsoil is to look rusted through or clayey: on sidings, storage tracks, mine and quarry operations and on lanes worn into red soil. The coloring comes from the rock, so it will not wash off once fixed.
The material is poured on, brushed out with a soft brush into the profile you need and dampened with water and a drop of dish soap. Next comes flooding with thinned PVA glue, which soaks in between the grains and dries transparent. The red-brown shade darkens slightly once the glue has dried, so it pays to make a small test sample on an offcut of the base first.
When working with a loose material, do not breathe in the dust and work in a ventilated space. Glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
