HEKI stone ballast, gray, coarse 1.0 to 2.0 mm, 200 g is natural aggregate of a coarser grain.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two hundred grams of crushed aggregate from the German maker HEKI with a grain size of one to two millimeters in a gray shade. Gray is the color of a ballast bed as everyone knows it from the lineside, and a coarser grain moves it into larger scales: what looks like oversized stones in H0 is exactly right in gauge 0 or in a garden scale. This is real crushed stone with sharp edges and fracture faces.
Pour the ballast onto laid track, brush it out between the ties and into the slope of the bed, and only then flood it with ballast glue. Do the brushing out thoroughly, as once flooded the material cannot be moved. With a coarser grain the glue has to run in deeper, so apply it slowly. Two hundred grams covers a decent stretch of track, so a line can be ballasted in one go and the shade stays the same along its whole length. This is a loose material; do not breathe in the dust and keep it out of the reach of children.
For layout builders in larger scales and for modelers who want genuine stone instead of a plastic imitation. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
