The DFS-230 was a light cargo and assault glider developed in Germany in the 1930s and committed in the Second World War. It served to put a group of soldiers or cargo down silently right in the target area and became famous above all in daring airborne operations. Its structure of a tube frame covered with fabric allowed it to carry several soldiers with their equipment.
With a short-run kit, clean the mating surfaces of the parts up and dry-fit the main assemblies. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue and the plastic joints with a thin cement for plastic. It pays to mask the cockpit glazing and spray thin layers with an airbrush; the translucent fabric surface of the glider comes out well with gentle picking out of the ribs and panels. Prepare a gloss varnish under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
