Boxes belong among the accessories nobody lists out in a scene, but without which a board looks unfinished. In a store, in a garage and on a loading ramp they lie about everywhere, and in 1:43 scale enough of them are visible to fill the space around a car. This item is the second set of a pair.
The two sets can be combined and piled into one heap, which rids a scene of the regularity that gives away that all the pieces come from one package. Stack the pieces in groups of differing height, leave one turned slightly and one lying flat. It helps to leave part of the heap tucked behind another element of the scene, because the viewer fills in the rest and the board visually carries on further.
Vary the shades between individual pieces even when the scene is uniform; two sets painted in one tone side by side look like wallpaper. Bring out the corners and edges with a dry brush in a lighter tone and darken the lower edges instead, so that the pieces sit on the base and do not hover above it. Try the layout dry first and only then glue, and glue at spots; a heap that can still be moved is much easier to build.
The set of boxes is supplied on its own. A base, a model car, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
