An accessory set for the model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 in its late configuration, in the version equipped with rocket launchers, in 1:48 scale. Prepared for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
In its late batches the Bf 109 G-6 received a number of modifications and additional armament. Among the most conspicuous were launchers for unguided rockets, which were fitted to the aircraft as optional equipment and noticeably changed both its silhouette and its flying qualities. Models of aircraft equipped this way therefore look different from an ordinary G-6 and have their followers among modelers.
The set is an accessory for the Bf 109 G-6 kit in its late configuration from the Tamiya company in 1:48 scale and is aimed at the version with rocket launchers. Check the contents of the package on the packaging or in the manufacturer's instructions so that you know which parts of the model the set deals with and what to obtain alongside it.
Before you start gluing, offer the parts up dry and check how they seat on the surfaces of the model; small adjustments are much easier to make before the paint goes on than after. The sequence of gluing and painting follows the instructions enclosed with the set. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting so that the finish holds, and apply it in thin coats that will not clog the fine detail. It is practical to fit the additional armament at the end of the build, when it is not in the way while the model is handled. Let the joints harden properly before you move on to the next step.
The set suits modelers who want to build a late Bf 109 G-6 in a particular configuration and are not content with the basic contents of the kit. The kit itself, paints and glue are not supplied with it, unless stated otherwise.
