Responsibility details are not available.
A set of twenty-eight unpainted command figures of Russian infantry of the Napoleonic Wars in 1:72 scale. It adds to the line infantry the officers, standard bearers and drummers, that is, the figures missing from ordinary sets and without which a unit looks like an anonymous crowd. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
Russian infantry of the Napoleonic Wars had a reputation for being exceptionally stubborn in defense. It was a quality on which a number of French attacks came to grief, because Russian regiments held their positions even after losses that would have broken another army. The soldiers wore dark green coats; officers were set apart from them by a sash and a saber. The standards had their own decoration and were the main point of reference for a unit.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Build the dark green coat up from a dark base toward lighter layers, or it will look black. Give the command figures more work than the rank and file, as they are at the front.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
