This short-run injection-molded kit in 1:144 scale captures the British Blackburn Beverley heavy transport airplane. The kit from the Ukrainian maker Mikromir is completed with photo-etched parts and painting masks and offers the choice of open or closed rear doors. The bulky machine will please collectors of transport aviation.
The Beverley was a British heavy transport airplane of the 1950s with a massive, high-set wing, a square-sided cargo fuselage and conspicuous fixed landing gear. The tail carried large twin fins. It served to carry cargo and paratroops and to drop supplies; its silhouette makes it one of the unmistakable machines of its era.
With a short-run kit, do a dry run and clean the parts up carefully; fill the joints of the bulky fuselage thoroughly. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue, and the masks supplied will make painting the glazing easier. Decide in advance whether you will leave the rear doors open for a view into the cargo compartment. The large surfaces will show to advantage with an even airbrush coat and restrained weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
