This is not a model but a general diorama accessory: a 20 liter jerrycan in the Portuguese variant and in 1:16 scale. It is made by the Czech brand Firma49 using high-resolution SLA 3D printing. Jerrycans are among the most rewarding small items of all: thrown onto the fender of a tank, lashed to the bed of a truck or set down in a scene, they make the difference between an empty machine straight from the factory and a vehicle that looks used and committed in the field. The Portuguese variant is a particular execution and set of markings, which collectors focused on Portuguese equipment and on less usual subjects will appreciate.
The twenty liter jerrycan is the classic transport container for fuel or water, which spread all over the world in various national variants. Its characteristic shape with three handles and pressed ribs is instantly recognizable. The Portuguese version differs from other national types in details of execution and in its markings, which makes it a welcome, specific accessory for collections and dioramas outside the usual German or Allied subjects.
Carefully separate the resin 3D-printed part from the print supports with a sharp knife; do not snap it off. Clean the surfaces and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Once a primer has been sprayed on, the shape of the can comes out with shadows in the ribs; for realism, fine wear on the edges, a hint of corrosion and a dust wash all suit it. You can fasten the can to a vehicle, into crates or loose in a scene.
