A plastic kit of the American two-seat sports coupe of the 1985 model year in 1:24 scale. The car is interesting in that it is one of the few American production cars with the engine mounted in the middle, behind the seats. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and contains decals.
The Fiero came about in the first half of the 1980s as an attempt to build an attainable two-seater with a layout that until then had belonged exclusively to expensive sports marques. The engine sat behind the seats, the bodywork stood on plastic panels attached to a space frame, and the GT rendering received more pronounced aerodynamic shaping. The car lasted only a few years on the market, and that is exactly why it is popular among collectors today.
The large smooth areas of the bodywork reveal every unevenness, so sand them before the primer and look them over against the light. Spray the gloss finish in several thin coats and let it dry through thoroughly before the decals. Finish the engine bay behind the seats before the bodywork is closed up; on a car with this layout it is one of the most interesting parts of the model. Leave the chrome parts for the end and protect them from overspray.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
