The Giulietta Spider is an open two-seater built by Alfa Romeo from the middle of the 1950s to the beginning of the 1960s. It grew out of the Sprint and drew attention with the sober, elegant lines typical of Italian convertibles of its day. The 1300 version was powered by an inline four-cylinder engine of roughly 1.3 liters, valued for its spirited character. The car is among the icons of postwar Italian automotive design.
Glue with thin cement for plastic; on the body of a roadster the smooth gloss surfaces come into their own, so primer, an airbrush and polishing the paint pay off. Paint the engine and the interior separately before final assembly. Protect the chrome-plated parts from glue and from needless handling. Lay the decals on a gloss coat, and a final clear coat will unify the surface of the body.
