Quick-release hood pins are a typical feature of racing and modified cars. The photo-etched version adds a small but conspicuous detail to a model, which at first glance lifts the impression of the front end and the hood.
Nip the parts out of the fret with a sharp knife and clean them up. Glue the small photo-etched elements with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and work with tweezers. Degrease them before painting and coat them with a primer for metal; the metal parts can also be plated or polished.
