A plastic kit of the legendary Lancia Stratos HF in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Hasegawa, in the Custom Version variant with a road-tuned treatment. The package makes it possible to build the car with a front spoiler and widened fenders: the front spoiler is a new part made by 3D printing technology, while the fender extensions, the wheels and the tires are plastic parts derived from the rally version. The Lancia Stratos HF was the first car designed directly for competition rallying, and with its wedge-shaped body and a mid-mounted engine from Ferrari it became one of the icons of the 1970s. In its era it was among the most successful competition cars and it took a number of victories in the most demanding events. This custom variant builds on the rally basis and allows an attractive road treatment to be built with prominent aerodynamic items, which visually set the car lower and wider.
Clean the new 3D printed spoiler of uncured resin residue before gluing and tidy it up, and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the body with an airbrush and add clear varnish with polishing for the gloss. Assemble and paint the interior and the engine bay before closing the body up. Apply the decals onto a glossy surface and seal them with varnish, and align the widened fenders carefully with the body.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
