Window frame masks for the Mazda 787B are pre-cut templates for a model of the winning prototype in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut masking templates for the frames and the edges of the glazing on a model of the Mazda 787B sports prototype in 1:24 scale. It is not a kit and not decals, but an accessory for the build. The masks are cut to the shape of a particular model and the manufacturer lists them as intended for kits of the Tamiya brand.
The Mazda 787B is a sports prototype that won the twenty-four hour race at Le Mans in 1991 and remained for many years the only winner with a rotary engine. The four-rotor Wankel unit had a different sound and different behavior from the piston engines of its rivals, and it was thanks to it that the car entered racing history. The glazing of the cockpit is extensive on a prototype and its frames are clearly visible on a finished model.
Degrease the glass and get the dust off it, as fingerprints show through under a mask. Lay the mask with tweezers and press the edge down with a blunt tip so that no paint runs under it. On curved surfaces work piece by piece and let the film follow the shape; do not pull it by force. Spray thin coats and remove the mask shortly after the paint has dried. Install the clear parts into the body only at the end and glue them with a glue that does not fog plastic.
