A supplementary waterslide decal set (not a model) from the Japanese maker Tabu design for building a model of the racing McLaren F1 GTR in the yellow livery with start number 76 from the 2002 JGTC series, in 1:24 scale. The set extends and refines the sponsor logos and technical markings beyond the basic kit.

The real subject

The McLaren F1 GTR was the racing version of the road-going McLaren F1 supercar, powered by a V12 engine. In the Japanese JGTC series it also ran in later seasons in the hands of private teams with striking color schemes.

Use

• The decals float off in lukewarm water and go onto a painted, smooth surface.
• We recommend a gloss base and a decal softener so that they settle onto the shaped surfaces of the body.
• Seal them with a top clear coat.
