A resin detail set from Airscale that brings a faithfully rendered pilot seat of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E fighter in 1:24 scale. The seat is worked out in fine relief and serves as a replacement for the part from the Airfix kit. This is not an aircraft model but a cockpit detail accessory that lifts the look of the interior considerably.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E (Emil) was the main version of the German fighter at the start of the Second World War, used over France and Britain. The pilot seat of the Bf 109 was a light metal shell structure with a seat harness, and it is exactly that characteristic shape the set captures for a large-scale build.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting block and sand the surfaces with your airways protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Paint the seat separately before you fit it into the cockpit; the fine relief comes out once a primer is laid down and a wash is worked into the recesses.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
