This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese brand Hasegawa captures the racing Nissan Skyline RS Turbo (DR30) in Group A specification for the Japanese touring car championship. The package holds body parts, a detailed interior with a roll cage and decals for the form of the winning car of the 1986 season. Masking stickers for the windows are usually included as well.
The Skyline RS Turbo of the DR30 generation, with its characteristic angular nose nicknamed the iron mask, was among the icons of Japanese motorsport of the 1980s. It was powered by a turbocharged inline four and in Group A form it contested the title in the touring car championship on home circuits.
We recommend spraying the body with primer first and applying the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. Polish the painted areas and use a gloss clear coat before the decals; the racing livery will only come into its own once it is sealed with a matte or satin varnish according to the surface.
