Reskit 1:32 A-7 Corsair II corrected radome is a 3D printed replacement nose for the large Corsair II kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement nose radome for the Vought A-7 Corsair II kit in 1:32 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. The part is made by direct 3D printing, so it has a smooth surface and sharp edges with no mold seams. It replaces the original plastic nose and corrects its shape, which on the large Corsair kit is among the most commented-on places. The set is an accessory rather than a model of the aircraft; on its own it cannot be built.
The A-7 Corsair II was an American carrier attack aircraft derived from the F-8 Crusader fighter, but substantially shorter and with a turbofan engine instead of the original powerplant. It entered service in the 1960s, proved itself as a carrier of bombs and guided munitions and served with the US Navy and the US Air Force and later also in Greece and Portugal. The characteristic stubby nose with a large intake opening under the cockpit is the recognition mark of the type.
Wash the part in lukewarm water with dish soap before gluing and let it dry; resin residue clings to printed surfaces. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw and sand the area. It is bonded with super glue, and sanding the mating edge flat will help it sit down against the plastic. When sanding printed resin, protect your airways and work with extraction.
The set holds the printed part only. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
