1:32 F-35B Lightning II - opened canopy frame (3D Printed) is a printed canopy frame in the open position. It is an accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed set that replaces the canopy frame of an F-35B aircraft model in 1:32 scale in the variant for a raised canopy. An open canopy also reveals the inner side of the frame, which is where the plastic part usually loses the most: the lip that seats against the fuselage, the guides and the emergency egress fittings. Printing manages all of that in a form that an injection mold cannot produce because of its parting line. The set is not an aircraft model.
The F-35B is the version of the Lightning II with short take-off and vertical landing capability. Across the whole family the canopy is a single-piece hinged unit with a prominent frame. In the open position it rests on a strut and reveals the entire pilot's compartment, which is exactly the state in which the machines tend to be photographed on the ramp and on deck. For a model that means you can see inside, so detailing the cockpit pays off.
The printed parts are held on thin supports. Snip them off close to the part and level the surface with a file or a scalpel. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the frame separately, with the inner side in a different shade from the outer one. Use a glue that does not fog the surface for the clear parts, and try the seating dry first.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
