The Brewster Buffalo was an American carrier-borne fighter of the end of the 1930s. The export version Model 339B was derived from the naval variant, had a lengthened rear fuselage and altered equipment for a land-based air arm. Belgium ordered a batch of these machines, but the events of 1940 markedly affected their delivery and service. The markings of this order are among the less usual and, for modelers, attractive subjects.
