A large sheet of 1:32 decals for the Messerschmitt Bf 110C heavy fighter with three aircraft from ZG 76, ZG 26 and JG 77, and with a mask for the canopy.
Responsibility details are not available.
The twin-engined Messerschmitt Bf 110 was, as originally conceived, to clear the way for bomber formations deep over enemy territory. The C version with DB 601A engines gave it decent speed and concentrated armament in the nose, but over England it turned out to be too unwieldy against nimble single-seat fighters. The type found its role only later, as a night fighter and a ground-attack aircraft.
The first option on the sheet is the machine coded M8+GK of the second Staffel of ZG 76 from September 1939. The second represents U8+BB of the first Staffel of ZG 26 in France in 1940. The third choice is LN+IR of a fighter group attached to JG 77 in Norway in 1941. A mask for the long cockpit glazing, which would otherwise be very laborious to cut out, is enclosed with the sheet.
On a twin-engined airframe the most work goes into the long motifs on the sides of the fuselage and into the crosses on the wing, which run across the flaps. So lay the film onto a wet surface and move it with a brush, not with your fingers. Once dry, run the tip of a cotton swab moistened with decal softener over the edges so that the motif settles into the engraved detail. The pair of engine nacelles makes for tight spots, where it helps to divide a larger motif in two with a scalpel. You will find neither a model nor glue in this item; it is purely markings.
