The set holds four pieces of the CBU-89B cluster bomb container of the GATOR system in a faithful execution in resin and 3D print. It is NOT an airplane model, but add-on external stores intended to be hung under the wings and fuselage of models of combat aircraft. The set is suitable for models of types such as the A-10, F-15E, F-16, B-52, B-1B and B-2.
The CBU-89 GATOR is an American aerial container that scatters a mixture of antipersonnel and antitank mines. It serves to mine an area quickly and to create a minefield from the air. The container carries a larger number of small mines, which after release scatter over an area and arm themselves.
First wash the residue of uncured print resin off the parts, carefully separate them from the print supports and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Before painting apply a primer, then with an airbrush the shades corresponding to the chosen scheme, and bring out the recesses with a wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
