Three figures of present-day aircraft ground crew in 1:32 scale, posed for work with the MHU-83 D/E loading truck in the upper loading position.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MHU-83 D/E is an American loading truck for aircraft munitions. It lifts a bomb or a guided missile to the height of a rack and holds it there until the crew fastens it to the aircraft. Work around it is always teamwork: one person operates the truck, others guide the load and steady it with their hands. It is exactly such a moment that the set captures, and at the phase when the arm of the truck is in the upper position.
Three figures in 1:32 scale in the dress of present-day ground crew: a driver and further members of the crew. The poses are designed for this particular scene, which is their strength and their limit at the same time. The figures fit together and look as though they really are working with one another, but outside this situation they are harder to use than a free-standing figure. The range also offers a counterpart posed for the lower loading position.
First set the figures out dry and verify that they fit one another in heights and angles; only then glue anything. Before painting, wash and degrease the figures and apply a primer. With present-day crew the expression of the scene is made mainly by the headsets, the vests and the protective gear, so it pays to set them apart from the overalls in shade and in degree of soiling. Paint the faces and the hands before you glue the figures on permanently.
For builders of dioramas and airfield scenes in the large scale whose model lacks life around the aircraft. The subject of the delivery is three figures. Paints, glue, tools and a base are not included, unless stated otherwise.
